The story
For the 1971 racing film Le Mans, McQueen matched his outfit to Swiss driver Jo Siffert's — and picked the radical square blue Heuer Monaco to go with it. The role welded the Monaco to motorsport forever: one of the screen-worn examples sold for $2.2 million in 2020, a record for the brand. Off screen, McQueen lived in a Rolex Submariner.
