The story

Churchill's Breguet No. 765 — a large gold minute-repeating chronograph his family nicknamed 'the Turnip' — was made in 1890 and stayed with him through both world wars. He sent it back to Breguet for servicing throughout his life, and the house still counts him among its great patrons alongside Napoleon and Marie Antoinette.
